Music - the "AFRIKA GENTE" band

Poster image for the JP Tropicale band.

PASSION! - "roots" Afro-Latin jazz and folk - sweet melodies, funky riffs and nasty grooves.

The AFRIKA GENTE Band is the most versatile Latin jazz and folk dance band in Boston with thrilling originals AND well-loved hits - from salsa, bossa nova, and samba to jazz, soul and world beat. The "folk"  repertoire includes drumming, dancing, singing and folkloric instruments.
